The Hays House Museum, 324 Kenmore Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014

We take regular showers and running water for granted these days, but think back to a time when everyone made their own soap and no corner grocery store was available. How did people survive regular daily ablutions? Join us for a lively presentation with a bit of show & tell about the mechanics of cleanliness and hygiene in the days before indoor plumbing, toilet paper, bath gel, shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste, and terry cloth. Please visit harfordhistory.org to sign up. $5 for Non-Members and free for members.
