The Book Fair at Bel Air returns on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the APGFCU Arena at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland. This free, all‑ages community festival is Harford County’s largest literary event, bringing together more than 110 authors, artists, bookstores, and literary vendors for a vibrant celebration of reading, storytelling, and community connection.
Hosted by Book Fair at Bel Air, a Harford County-based 501(c)(3) literacy nonprofit, the fair is designed to connect readers of all ages with authors and engaging literacy experiences. Attendees can meet writers across every genre and age category, shop unique bookish merchandise, and enjoy a wide range of family‑friendly activities.
This year’s fair features nationally recognized authors, including Ruta Sepetys, Kristy Boyce, Lindsey Duga, Richard and W.H. Chizmar, Mazey Eddings, Carylee Carrington, and Marc Avery. Beyond author meet‑and‑greets and book signings, guests can enjoy interactive storytelling, face painting, games, prizes, crafts, photo opportunities, and character visits, including beloved children’s favorite Pete the Cat.
